Mrs Emily Downie
Ballet, Pointe & Jazz Teacher - together with mentorship of all SFD Teachers
Mrs Emily began dancing at the age of five and loves every style of dance.  Mrs Emily has been teacher at CSOD since 2012 and having now danced for more than 25 years and taught for over 10, she brings a wealth of experience into every class.  Mrs Emily received most of her early instruction at the Jane Moore Academy of Ballet, where she studied the RAD Classical syllabus, Tap, Jazz and Contemporary.  In 2002, Mrs Emily undertook full time training at Dance World Studios, majoring in Musical Theatre.  In 2010, Mrs Emily was invited to examine for SFD and is now a fully qualified examiner in Jazz, Tap, Classical and Dance Fusion.

2016 is the second year Mrs Emily has taught Ballet for CSOD and has thoroughly enjoyed sharing her love for this style with the CSOD students.  Additionally, her experience in musical theatre has helped her in her role as Artistic Director
for the 2015 Recital, which brought life to the story of Rio.
